JAIPUR- Reliance Industries chairman, Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani owned, India’s first Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft has received an Indian registration VT-AKV.
The aircraft is recently spotted by one of the best spotters in India, Harsh Tekriwal, and our partner at Jaipur International Airport (JAI).
Mukesh Ambani 737 MAX T7-LOTUS Now VT-AKV
Boeing 737 MAX 9 was previously registered as T7-LOTUS (T7 is the code of San Marino). The private jet belonging to Asia’s richest man is now registered as VT-AKV as of September 12, 2024.
The aircraft arrived in India on August 27, 2024, and we were the first to report.
The delivery flight took off from Basel (BSL) at 4:05 AM UTC on August 27. After being airborne for around nine hours and 40 minutes and covering a distance of 6,234 KM, the aircraft landed safely on Runway 1 i.e. 10/28 at Delhi (DEL) at 1:48 PM UTC (7:18 PM IST [evening]).
The aircraft is built in the Renton production line and has the MSN number 8401. Further, it is powered by two CFMI LEAP-1B engines.
Ambani’s newest aircraft is the first ever type to be inducted in India and one of few to fly it in Asia, which includes Flydubai (FZ) and Lion Air (JT).
According to Business and Commercial Aircraft data, Ambani’s 737 MAX 9 is priced at $118.5 Million excluding the cost of interiors and cabin retrofit. Further, these aircraft are categorized as Ultra-long-range business jets.
