LONDON- An easyJet (U2) pilot (first officer) fainted mid-flight today (July 27, 2024), causing concern on a London to Lisbon (LIS) route.
The flight operated by Airbus A320, carrying 193 passengers, likely departed from London Luton Airport (LTN).
easyJet Pilot Faints Mid-Flight
The pilot successfully landed the aircraft without incident in Lisbon. Paramedics met the plane on the runway to provide immediate medical attention to the unconscious co-pilot.
Emergency responders then transported the co-pilot to Lisbon’s Santa Maria Hospital for further treatment.
The nature and severity of the UK-based low-cost carrier’s co-pilot condition remain unclear.
