KUALA LUMPUR- Flag carrier Malaysia Airlines (MH) is enhancing its network to India with the addition of more flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Amritsar (ATQ) from August 1, 2024.
The airline is receiving a good load factor and travel demand on the KUL-ATQ route. Earlier in January 2024, Malaysia Airlines doubled the frequency from 2X to 4X Weekly flights and now it will operate 7X weekly flights.
Malaysia Airlines Amritsar Flights
The increase in flight frequencies from Amritsar will raise Malaysia Airlines’ total weekly flights in India to 71.
Introduced in November 2023, Amritsar joins Ahmedabad and Trivandrum as one of three new India routes added that year. Additionally, the airline recently increased the frequency of the Trivandrum route to four times weekly, effective April 3, 2024.
Malaysia Airlines has an extensive network in India, with flights from nine major hubs: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Trivandrum.
Serving as the gateway to Asia and beyond for Indian travelers, the airline provides seamless onward connections to destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and other key locations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Malaysia Airlines is offering special promotional fares for travelers to explore India to celebrate the increased flight frequencies. Enjoy all-in return fares from Kuala Lumpur to Amritsar starting from RM988, available for purchase until June 30, 2024, for travel until March 30, 2025.

A330neo IFE on Economy Class Seats
Malaysia Airlines is set to receive its new Airbus A330neo aircraft soon and has shared additional details about its upgraded business and economy class cabins.
Notably, the A330neo recently won bronze for Cabin Concept of the Year 2024 at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo in Hamburg, Germany.
The airline has ordered 20 A330neo (A330-900) aircraft, with the first three scheduled for service this year.
In their latest video, Malaysia Airlines showcases 13.3″ 4K in-flight entertainment displays for economy class passengers, a significant upgrade from the 11″ 1080p displays currently offered on the Airbus A350-900. Even the flagship Business Class Suite (formerly known as First Class) features only 1080p resolution on its larger 24″ IFE screen.
The economy class cabin will feature Recaro CL3810 seats, designed for ergonomic support and enhanced comfort. These seats include coat hooks, cup holders, and ample storage. There are 269 seats in economy class, including 24 with extra legroom, arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration.
The new Airbus A330neo will also offer in-flight WiFi connectivity, with Malaysia Airlines providing complimentary unlimited WiFi to all passengers, including those in economy class. This free WiFi service is available on selected widebody aircraft such as the A350-900, A330-300, and A300-200.
For business class, the A330neo will feature Collins Aerospace Elevation seats, which include individual privacy doors and wireless charging pads. The new business class seats will also have larger 17.3″ 4K screens, an upgrade from the 16″ 1080p screens on the Airbus A350.
Malaysia Airlines expects to receive its first A330neo in Q3 2024, with the inaugural commercial flight planned for Melbourne, Australia.
