This signifies a significant milestone in Azorra’s commitment to the Asia-Pacific region. Collaborating closely with Embraer, we take immense pride in delivering cutting-edge aircraft from our robust order book, bolstering network expansion for our airline partners globally.”
Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, remarks, “Embraer’s suite of advanced-generation E-Jets align seamlessly with Scoot’s aspirations, complementing the airline’s existing fleet of narrowbody aircraft with the E2’s exceptional performance on short runways, thereby enhancing regional connectivity. New Routes with E2
Scoot’s E2 services are slated to commence in May 2024, with Explorer 3.0’s inaugural flight to Krabi, Thailand.
Further, Scoot is gearing up to introduce two fresh routes—heading to Koh Samui, Thailand, and Sibu, Malaysia—utilizing the incoming Embraer E190-E2. Subsequently, this regional jet will also be deployed on current Scoot routes servicing Hat Yai and Krabi, Thailand, along with Kuantan and Miri, Malaysia, consequently supplanting the Airbus A320.
Singaporean carrier currently operates 53 aircraft, including 21 787 Dreamliners.
