DUBAI- As Ramadan draws to a close, the Emirates (EK) is gearing up to mark the beginning of Eid al Fitr on April 10 with a host of celebratory offerings.
Passengers traveling with Emirates can look forward to experiencing a rich array of regional flavors onboard, providing a taste of the diverse culinary traditions associated with the festive occasion.
Eid Menu Offerings by Emirates
To enhance the in-flight entertainment experience, Emirates will introduce new Arabic movies and TV series on its ICE entertainment system, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the region’s cultural richness during their journey.
Between April 10 and 13, Emirates will offer a special Eid menu for Economy Class passengers departing from Dubai. They can choose from dishes like chicken biryani or lamb kibbeh labneh, complemented by desserts such as halwa brownie or chocolate mousse.
Premium Economy and Business Class travelers can enjoy options like chicken mash wi el jeder or fish matfy and desserts like pistachio and hibiscus namoura or vanilla and rose mousse cake. First-class passengers can indulge in dishes like hammer mattify or braised beef short ribs at Mac House, accompanied by desserts such as vanilla and rose mousse cake or warm orange blondie.
All passengers will also receive a special ‘Eid Mubarak’ treat with their meal. The A380 onboard lounge will also offer Emirati pastries, Arabic coffee, and desserts like pistachio cake with cream cheese or saffron and cardamom cake.
Eid Treats at Lounges
At the Emirates Lounges in Dubai on April 10, First Class passengers can enjoy various options, including Arabic coffee, jallab, kamarruddin juice, and hot and cold Arabic mezzeh. They can also indulge in main courses like lamb ouzi or Arabic mixed grill, followed by delectable desserts such as kunafa, kathayef, and bassbousa.
In the Business Class Lounges, guests can savor classic chicken khabsa and a variety of tempting desserts throughout the day, including date mammoul, baklava pecan rolls, and saffron bassbousa.
Additionally, Emirates First and Business Class travelers are welcome to visit the old-fashioned ice cream cart in the lounge, where they can enjoy homemade Baklava and Arabic coffee ice cream specially prepared for Eid celebrations.
Eid Entertainment on Emirates
Passengers traveling during Eid al Fitr will have access to a wide range of content on Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system, featuring up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment and over 2,000 movies from various parts of the world.
This includes over 100 Arabic films, including recent releases such as Amakor, El Saf El Akheer, and Al Masafa Sefr, as well as up to 285 Hollywood movies with Arabic subtitles, featuring new releases like Napoleon, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Wish, Ferrari, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
Additionally, there are 46 channels dedicated to Arabic TV series, including popular shows like Chef Bel Beit and Lo’bat Al Hayah and series from Shahid such as Batn El Hout, Seeb Wa Ana Aseeb, and El Ghareeb.
Emirates passengers can also enjoy 15 channels of Arabic podcasts and audiobooks, access to The Holy Qur’an, and more than 500 channels of Arabic music spanning various genres, including pop, classics, Khaleeji, Maghrebi, and Arabic fusion.
