PHILIPPINE- Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to inaugurate direct flights between Manila (MNL) and Seattle (SEA), commencing on 02 October 2024. This new route marks PAL as the pioneering airline establishing direct connections between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
By facilitating nonstop flights, PAL aims to catalyze business and leisure travel from the United States to the Philippines. In 2023, over 900,000 American tourists journeyed to the Philippines, underscoring the U.S.’s status as the second-largest source of visitors to the country.

This new service aligns with the ongoing enhancements at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), promising increased connectivity and convenience for travelers.
Highlighting the substantial Filipino presence in Washington state and their significant contributions to the region’s cultural and economic landscape, Port of Seattle Commissioner Toshiko Hasegawa welcomed the direct flight to Manila as a long-awaited addition that benefits not only the Filipino community but also anyone interested in exploring the Philippines’ rich offerings.
The Manila-Seattle-Manila service will initially operate three times a week, providing convenient departure times from both Manila’s Terminal 1 and Seattle Tacoma International Airport.
Seattle, renowned for its technological prowess and bustling port, is a gateway to key destinations in Washington and Oregon, facilitating seamless travel connections to major cities across the U.S. mainland.
Furthermore, PAL’s partnership with various airlines ensures extended connectivity to domestic and international destinations beyond Seattle, fostering trade and economic growth between the U.S. and Asia. With an additional 60 tons of cargo capacity per week, the flights promise to bolster trade ties and stimulate economic activity.
Seattle marks PAL’s eighth destination in North America, further solidifying its position as a key player in transpacific air travel. With existing routes to major cities in the U.S. and Guam, PAL continues to facilitate seamless travel experiences for passengers across the Pacific.
