GURUGRAM- On March 8, International Women’s Day, Air India (AI) Group operates 15 special all-women crew flights, including 3 international flights.
Air India boasts a remarkable representation of women in its cockpit crew, with over 15%, positioning it as one of the airlines with a significant number of women pilots.

Women employees contribute substantially, constituting 51% of the airline’s workforce. Notably, in the two years since Air India’s return to the Tata group, there has been a notable surge in the inclusion of women across all facets of the airline’s operations.
Air India Express (IX) follows suit, with over 13% of its pilots being women and nearly half of the workforce comprising women employees.
In an effort to inspire and empower women employees, the Air India group has orchestrated week-long programs. These initiatives involve webinars and live sessions featuring experts from various fields and serve as a platform for role models, fostering broader awareness and motivation.
Special Benefits for Women Customers
As a special gesture for customers, Air India Express is extending complimentary seat selection and priority boarding services to all women passengers on March 8, 2024, accessible through its mobile app and website.
