GURUGRAM- IndiGo Airlines (6E) has unveiled four new routes as part of its upcoming summer schedule, with daily direct flights between Amritsar-Hyderabad and Srinagar-Bengaluru set to commence from March 31.
The airline also plans to introduce thrice-weekly direct flights between Surat-Pune and Chandigarh-Jammu, effective from March 31 to April 2.
IndiGo New Domestic Routes
This expansion of routes aims to offer an extended array of connectivity options for both business and leisure travelers.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline’s satisfaction in announcing these additions to the summer schedule, emphasizing the commitment to delivering a cost-effective, punctual, and hassle-free travel experience.
Introducing these flights is expected to enhance IndiGo’s network, offering passengers a varied selection of travel choices and smooth connections.
Additionally, the new routes are poised to meet the growing demand for travel options within the country.
Six New East-West Indian Flights
Earlier on Feb 29, 2024, IndiGo Airlines unveiled new domestic routes to cater to the surge in summer travel demand. These upcoming routes are scheduled to commence operations from March 31, 2024.
The airline is set to operate non-stop flights connecting various cities, including Ahmedabad (AMD) to Rajkot (HSR) and Aurangabad (IXU), Bhopal (BHO) to Lucknow (LKO), and Indore (IDR) to Varanasi (VNS).
Additionally, IndiGo has revealed plans for direct flights between Kolkata (CCU) and Srinagar (SXR), as well as Kolkata and Jammu (IXJ), starting from April 10, 2024, and April 21, 2024, respectively.
Flights linking Kolkata and Jammu via Srinagar are also slated to commence operations from April 10, 2024.
Malhotra is confident these newly introduced routes will improve access and travel experiences. Subsequently, it will strengthen economic ties across different states.
IndiGo boasts a fleet of 350 aircraft and currently operates more than 2,000 daily flights. The airline provides connectivity to 86 domestic destinations and 33 international destinations.
