DOHA- Qatar Airways (QR) has announced the relocation of its operations from the current Dabolim Airport (GOI) in South Goa, India, to the new Manohar International Airport (GOX) in the North Goa district, effective June 20, 2024.
The airline will maintain the same schedule for its direct daily flights, utilizing a mix of Airbus A320 and Boeing 787 aircraft.

Joining a roster of airlines, including strategic partners IndiGo (6E) and Oman Air (WY), Qatar Airways is set to be serviced by GOX. Boasting modern infrastructure and close proximity to hotels and public transportation, the new airport aims to provide an enhanced passenger experience.
Having initiated operations in Goa in 2009, Qatar Airways marks the commencement of its enduring partnership between Doha and Goa.
The transition from GOI to GOX promises an elevated airport experience for travelers on Qatar Airways’ extensive network, spanning over 170 destinations.
Further, the airport experience at GOX is crafted to embody the vibrant essence of the local culture, seamlessly blending contemporary design with Goan architecture.
Featuring expansive cargo facilities with a handling capacity of 25,000 metric tonnes, including temperature-controlled capabilities, GOX holds the potential to emerge as the preferred export hub in the region.
13 Destinations in India
As of now, Qatar Airways serves 13 destinations in India, encompassing Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Thiruvananthapuram.
