MUNICH- Lufthansa City Airlines (CL), the latest addition to the esteemed Lufthansa Group (LH), is set to take flight in the upcoming summer of 2024, and the initial destinations have been officially announced.
Commencing its operations from Munich, the airline will serve key routes to Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hanover. Furthermore, it will serve the following international destinations, including Birmingham, Bordeaux, and Manchester.
Lufthansa City Airlines New Destinations
As part of its strategic expansion, Lufthansa City Airlines plans to gradually extend its network, unveiling additional European destinations in the following months.
With a commitment to the future of the airline, the Lufthansa Group has placed an order for 40 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Subsequently, the Munich-based carrier has secured an additional 20 purchase options.
This move underscores the group’s dedication to reinforcing its competitive edge in the short-haul sector, a pivotal element in fortifying market presence and supporting the growth of Lufthansa’s long-haul routes.
New Livery, Better Product Offering
Passengers choosing Lufthansa City Airlines can anticipate the renowned Lufthansa product offering and exceptional customer experience tailored for short and medium-haul journeys.
The newly introduced Lufthansa City livery has already adorned the first two of the four Airbus A319 aircraft scheduled for deployment this year.
Flights are slated to be available starting from the end of April through the familiar and accessible Lufthansa Group sales channels, providing travelers with seamless access to their preferred destinations.
