MUMBAI- Air India Express (IX) has announced the commencement of daily non-stop flights connecting Mumbai (BOM) and Kozhikode (CCJ).
Kozhikode holds a pivotal role in Air India Express’ history and stands as the airline’s primary hub for international operations, featuring 101 weekly flights.
Air India Express Mumbai to Kozhikode Flight
Air India Express provides direct connections from Kozhikode to 15 domestic and international destinations, such as Bengaluru, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, among others. Additionally, the airline offers convenient one-stop routes to 19 destinations from Kozhikode, including Ayodhya, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Chennai.
As one of the rapidly growing urban districts in India, Kozhikode serves as the Gateway to the Malabar region of Kerala. The introduction of a direct flight linking the city to India’s financial capital is anticipated to generate numerous growth opportunities for the region.

Air India Express runs 112 weekly flights departing from Mumbai, establishing connections between the City of Dreams and various domestic and international destinations such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Jaipur, Ranchi, Madurai, Lucknow, Srinagar, Dammam, Sharjah, and the newly added Kozhikode.
Additionally, the airline provides convenient one-stop connectivity to 34 destinations, encompassing both domestic and international locations like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Gwalior, Dubai, Doha, and Singapore.
New Xpress Lite
Yesterday, Air India Express, owned by the Tata Group, announced the introduction of discounted tickets for passengers opting to travel without check-in baggage. The initiative, named ‘Xpress Lite,’ offers fares at a lower cost than regular ones.
Passengers selecting Xpress Lite fares will also have the opportunity to pre-book an additional 3 kg cabin baggage, provided at no extra charge. In the event that passengers later require check-in baggage, they can pre-book additional ‘check-in baggage’ allowances at discounted rates for 15 kg and 20 kg excess baggage slabs.
The airline has communicated that passengers have the option to purchase check-in baggage services directly at the airline’s counters in the airport.
