Over the past five years, the airline, a vital part of the aviation division of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group—a prominent Indian business conglomerate involved in various high-value sectors such as Aviation, Consumer Products, Education, Energy, Mining, Realty, Retail, and Textiles—has achieved significant milestones, solidifying its position as a key player in the aviation industry.
Star Air Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Commencing operations on January 25, 2019, in the Bengaluru-Hubballi sector, Star Air embarked on its journey with a dedicated commitment to providing dependable, safe, and customer-centric air travel, aspiring to connect the real India.
Within the span of five years, the airline has successfully expanded its routes, upgraded its fleet, and cultivated a devoted customer base.
Notable Accomplishments Over the Past 5 Years:
- Expansion of Routes: Star Air has substantially broadened its network to encompass 18 destinations and 26 routes, spanning diverse states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Telangana, etc. This expansion has introduced convenient travel options for passengers, connecting locations that were previously inaccessible or solely reachable by trains or buses.
- Fleet Expansion: The airline commenced operations with a single Embraer ERJ-145 in January 2019, and this has grown to include 5 ERJ-145s and 3 E-175s as of today. An additional E-175 is poised to join the fleet soon. Emphasizing a commitment to a modern and efficient fleet, Star Air ensures a seamless and comfortable travel experience for its passengers.
- Introduction of Business Class: Star Air has successfully implemented Business Class services across most of its network, utilizing the luxurious business class cabins of the new state-of-the-art E-175s. Additionally, Star Air proudly became the first airline to introduce business-class services to destinations like Kolhapur, Shivamogga, Tirupati, Surat, etc.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Prioritizing customer satisfaction, Star Air has consistently offered personalized services and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of travelers.
