SYDNEY- Australian flag carrier Qantas (QF) is set to unveil a fresh onboard safety video featuring front-line team members and Frequent Flyers guiding viewers through essential safety information while exploring distinctive destinations in Australia and around the world.
This new video replaces the Qantas Centenary-themed video that has been shown since 2020.
Qantas New Inflight Safety Video
Qantas Chief Customer Officer Catriona Larritt emphasized that safety remains the top priority across the Qantas Group.
The inflight video, in collaboration with Cabin Crew, plays a crucial role in capturing travelers’ attention, ensuring they watch and comprehend the critical safety information.
“Primarily, the video aims to acquaint our customers with safety procedures, and we strive to make it as engaging as possible, especially for frequent flyers who might otherwise tune out,” stated Catriona Larritt.
Shoot at 14 Destinations Across the World
The 2024 video showcases Qantas pilots, cabin crew, customer service agents, and Frequent Flyers sharing safety information from their respective “magic place” destinations, ranging from Litchfield National Park to Lapland.
Ms. Larritt further commented, “We take pride in featuring our well-traveled team members and customers not only to convey the safety message but also to promote travel and tourism by inspiring people to explore destinations they may not have experienced throughout Australia and beyond.”
The video will be gradually introduced on Qantas flights starting this week, with 75 versions available in 12 different languages.
Further, the video will likely be first shown on Boeing 787 Dreamliner as hinted in video. They might have created a version of it as per diffrent types of aircraft in its fleet.
Filmed across 14 destinations over 40 days, the new Qantas safety video endured temperatures ranging from -36 degrees in Lapland, Finland, to 36 degrees in Jaipur, India.
