SEATTLE- Alaska Airlines (AS) is excited to announce a new service set to debut this spring, offering its guests a captivating Canadian destination.
It will initiate daily nonstop flights between Seattle (SEA) and Toronto (YYZ) starting on May 16, 2024, featuring convenient departure and arrival times.
Alaska Airlines Seattle to Toronto
Toronto, situated along the shores of Lake Ontario, is the largest city in Canada. This marks a novel addition to its route map from the primary hub in Seattle.
Toronto beckons visitors with a myriad of possibilities, from its vibrant downtown and pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods to its picturesque parks, rich historical landmarks, and an array of diverse restaurants and entertainment options.
Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning for Alaska Airlines, emphasized the airline’s ongoing commitment to better connecting the Pacific Northwest with additional nonstop flights within our network.
She noted, “There is a strong desire among our guests for a Seattle-Toronto flight, establishing a link between two dynamic cities not only for leisure travel but also fostering connections between key business centers in the U.S. and Canada.”
Strengthening Partnership with Canadian Carrier
Toronto will become the sixth Canadian city in its flight network, joining the ranks of Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, and Victoria.
This won’t be the first venture into providing service from the West Coast to eastern Canada. In the early 90s, it operated nonstop flights connecting Los Angeles and Toronto.
In December, Alaska Airlines proudly announced our 30th global airline partnership with Porter Airlines (PD), an expanding Canadian carrier headquartered in Toronto. The collaboration between Alaska and Porter is set to strengthen throughout 2024.
Porter has already commenced new flights from Los Angeles to Toronto on January 16, and will initiate additional service between San Francisco and Toronto on January 25.
