The All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Union (AIAMEU) has shared more information about this unfortunate incident.
“Dear Team members,
With a deep sense of grief, regret to inform you that one of our team members, Mr. R P Singh (Sr supdt ser eng, Delhi Base), left us for a heavenly abode as he fell down from a trestle while changing radome on the aircraft, today 2’clock night. Let Almighty bestow the strength to all his near and dear to bear with sudden tragic loss. Let’s all have him in our thoughts so that his soul rests in peace.
Om Shanti.”
According to our source, Mr R P Singh was a permanent staff of AIESL and is likely to receive monetary compensation from AIESL, the Insurance company, and the Union. However, the exact value of this is yet to be determined.
Furthermore, if this incident had happened with a non-permanent FTE Technician, then he/she would not have received this monetary compensation. The AIAMEU is working to have equality among all AIESL staff and have safe working conditions for all.
My condolences to Mr R P Singh and his family, and we must pray for peace.
