SAN FRANCISCO- Southwest Airlines (WN) is set to restart its nonstop flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Chicago-Midway and will introduce seasonal nonstop service to Dallas Love Field, as confirmed by airport officials and Southwest.
The nonstop service to Chicago-Midway, as well as the seasonal nonstop service to Dallas Love Field, will commence on June 4, 2024, according to statements from Southwest and Doug Yakel, a spokesperson for SFO.

Southwest to Restarts San Francisco Flights
Southwest plans to operate two daily flights to Chicago-Midway on weekdays, with a single daily flight on weekends. The service to Dallas-Love Field will be seasonal, featuring one weekly flight on Saturdays, as explained by Yakel.
Furthermore, alongside the resumption of these services, Southwest will expand its offerings with more flights from SFO to Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, with all these changes taking effect on the same day.
“We are excited to announce the expanded services that Southwest Airlines will be offering at SFO next year,” stated Airport Director Ivar Satero in a press release.
Southwest Airlines operates from SFO’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1. Tickets for nonstop flights from SFO to Dallas Love Field in June are available starting at approximately $238, while fares to Chicago begin at $199.

New Flights
In addition, Southwest recently introduced daily nonstop flights from Oakland International Airport to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in September.
This expansion of Southwest’s services in the Bay Area follows their decision to discontinue flights between San Francisco (SFO) and Burbank starting on January 7, 2024.
Southwest will, however, maintain nonstop flights to Hollywood Burbank from Oakland International and San Jose International airports.
United Airlines (UA), the largest carrier at SFO, will also continue to offer nonstop flights to Hollywood Burbank from San Francisco.
Alaska Airlines (AS), on the other hand, announced in July that it would commence operating nonstop flights between SFO and Hollywood Burbank three times daily, beginning on December 14.
