LONDON- Starting in September 2023, British Airways (BA) has made adjustments to the flight frequency for its London Heathrow (LHR) to Hong Kong (HKG) route for the upcoming Northern Winter 2023/24 season.
Traveling from London to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) with British Airways typically takes approximately 11 hours and 30 minutes.
British Airways Reduces Hong Kong Flights
The airline will reduce its weekly service from 14 to 10 flights during specific periods. These adjustments will be in effect from November 3 to November 30, 2023, and from February 10 to March 29, 2024.
Departures from London Heathrow to Hong Kong:
- Flight BA031 departs at 17:40 and arrives at 14:40 the following day, using a Boeing 788. This flight operates daily.
- Flight BA027 departs at 20:45 and arrives at 17:45 the following day, using a Boeing 789. This flight operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Returns from Hong Kong to London Heathrow:
- Flight BA032 departs at 23:00 and arrives at 05:45 the following day, using a Boeing 788. This flight operates daily.
- Flight BA028 departs at 23:40 and arrives at 06:25 the following day, using a Boeing 789. This flight operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Abu Dhabi Resumption
British Airways (BA) is set to reintroduce daily flights to Abu Dhabi (AUH) next year, marking its return to the route after a four-year absence. Travelers can now make reservations for these flights, which are scheduled to commence on April 20, 2024.
The service will provide connectivity between London Heathrow (LHR) and the UAE’s capital city year-round.
Abu Dhabi, known for its impressive architecture, diverse culture, desert vistas, stunning beaches, and top-tier attractions, appeals to a wide range of visitors seeking a blend of culture, relaxation, and adventure.
British Airways plans to operate the new flight using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft during the summer of 2024. This addition will enhance travel options to the UAE, complementing the existing flights to Dubai, which currently run up to three times daily from London Heathrow.
British Airways offers return fares starting at £449 in World Traveller (economy class) and £1,999 in Club World (business class) to mark this route’s launch.
These special fares can be booked until November 12, 2023. Executive Club Members can also purchase Reward Seats, starting from £100 and 50,000 Avios.
