FRANKFURT- The German flag carrier, Lufthansa (LH) Airlines, is making changes to its aircraft on the Frankfurt (FRA), Germany to Houston (IAH), United States route.
According to planespotters.net, Lufthansa has a fleet of 27 Boeing 747s, including 8 747-400 and 19 747-8I.

Lufthansa Boeing 747 to Houston
- From February 1 to March 30, they will use the Airbus A340-600.
- From March 31 to May 31, they will operate the Boeing 747-400.
Notably, Lufthansa hasn’t regularly utilized the A340-600 on this route since 2008 and the 747-400 since 2012, reported Ishrion Aviation.
Lufthansa has announced further updates to its flight operations. They will introduce their new Boeing 787-9 aircraft on routes to South America, initially on the Frankfurt (FRA) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) and Bogota (BOG) routes in July.
In the future, the routes to Detroit (DTW) and Dallas (DFW), which are currently served by the 787, will see a transition to other aircraft like the A340-300.

- Frankfurt to Buenos Aires Ezeiza: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Chicago O’Hare: One daily flight (Increasing to two daily from March 1, 2024)

- Frankfurt to Mexico City: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Miami: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Newark: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to San Francisco: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Sao Paulo Guarulhos: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Shanghai Pu Dong: One daily flight (Some weeks offer six weekly flights)
- Frankfurt to Singapore: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Tokyo Haneda: One daily flight
- Frankfurt to Washington Dulles: One daily flight
