GURUGRAM- Tata Group-owned Air India (AI), a prominent international airline in India, has chosen Asian Aviation as its General Sales Agent (GSA) in Greece.
Asian Aviation, a top aviation services provider, will deliver comprehensive sales and ticketing services with the aim of enhancing Air India’s presence in Greece. This collaboration is expected to support Air India’s ongoing expansion and growth in Europe.
Air India Greece Sales
This partnership will enhance the travel experience for individuals in Greece, granting them more convenient access to Air India’s global network through major transit hubs in Europe and the Middle East.
This will facilitate seamless connections between flights operated by Air India’s partner airlines and Air India’s non-stop services to India and other destinations.
At present, Air India offers non-stop flights from nine locations in seven European countries. These include Amsterdam, Birmingham, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Milan, Paris, and Vienna, connecting to major Indian cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
Air India’s extensive and expanding network of routes allows European travelers to access convenient onward connections from Delhi and Mumbai to various cities across India and destinations such as Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia.
Asian Aviation brings considerable expertise and a wealth of experience in the Greek aviation landscape, having served as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for several of the world’s leading airlines.
AcessRail Partnership
Earlier, Air India (AI) established an intermodal interline agreement in collaboration with AccesRail to enhance connectivity options for Air India passengers throughout Europe.
This strategic partnership particularly benefits travelers in regions with limited access to airports, including smaller cities.
Under this agreement, Air India passengers can avail themselves of a unified intermodal ticket that facilitates seamless travel by incorporating train and bus connections within over 100 cities and towns across Austria, Belgium, Germany, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
This connectivity is established through Air India’s European gateways, such as Amsterdam, Birmingham, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Milan, and Vienna.
An additional advantage of this collaboration is that Air India passengers utilizing the rail or bus services offered by AccesRail will enjoy the same baggage allowance as they would on Air India flights.
AccesRail is an IATA travel partner with its designated code (9B). This enables the convenience of single-ticket intermodal journeys for passengers.
