MUMBAI- Malayalam actress Divya Prabha has caused concern and anger among her fans by disclosing that she experienced harassment from a fellow passenger during an Air India (AI) flight from Mumbai to Kochi.
This unsettling incident occurred on Monday, October 9, and Divya Prabha has subsequently filed an official police complaint.
Actress Harassed on Air India Flight
Taking to her Instagram account, the actress revealed the distressing incident. She expressed her dissatisfaction with the airline’s response, which only involved changing her seat after she reported the incident to the air hostess.
Divya Prabha has appealed to the authorities to investigate the incident thoroughly, bring the wrongdoer to justice, and emphasize passenger safety on flights.
Late on Tuesday, Divya Prabha used her Instagram account to share her disturbing experience on Air India Flight AI681 from Mumbai to Kochi. She disclosed, “I need your support to shed light on a distressing incident I encountered during the flight. An intoxicated and unruly fellow passenger harassed me.”
“Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the cabin crew, the only action taken was to reassign me to a different seat just before takeoff. Upon landing at Kochi airport, I reported the issue to the airport and airline authorities, who directed me to the police assistance post at the airport. I have submitted a formal complaint to the Kerala Police, urging them to investigate this incident,” she added, accompanied by screenshots of the email complaint she sent to the Kerala Police.
Divya Prabha expressed her disappointment with the response from the Air India ground office and the flight crew.

The Delhi police have initiated legal proceedings against an individual accused of causing a disturbance and verbally abusing the flight crew on a Tata Group-owned Indian FSC Air India (AI) flight from New York (JFK) to Delhi (DEL).
A case has been officially registered against a passenger who, while on board an Air India flight, engaged in disruptive behaviour and used offensive language, particularly directed at the female cabin crew members.
The complaint from the victim cabin crew staff prompted the registration of the case, which occurred at Delhi’s IGI Airport Police station on October 1.
In her formal complaint, the cabin crew member stated that she was fulfilling her duties in the Economy class cabin when a passenger named Abhinav Sharma, hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, and travelling on Air India Flight AI102, began making inappropriate remarks and verbally abusing both fellow passengers and crew members.
Over time, the individual in question escalated their disruptive behaviour, engaging in verbal abuse towards fellow passengers. Initially, the cabin supervisor issued an oral warning, which was subsequently followed by a written warning in an attempt to curb the unruly behaviour.
Nevertheless, the passenger persisted in making racist remarks and displaying disrespect towards the country (India), prompting the cabin crew to take measures to restrain him.
