Air India Charter Flight
This is not the first time that the Indian army has chartered Air India 777 for the purpose. A few days back, they did the same to take army personnel from India to the US; this time, they did it now to bring them back home.
Now, let us establish the flight timeline with FlightRadar24. Air India flight AI1187 took off from Delhi (DEL) at around 3:40 AM UTC. After being airborne for almost 13 hours and 45 minutes, the flight landed safely at Fairbanks (FAI) at around 5:22 PM UTC.
Boeing 777-300ER operated the flight, registered as VT-AER. It is a 9.9-year-old aircraft and was previously operated by Etihad Airways.
Since it is a charter flight, the return flight schedule is not yet filled. But we will provide an update here, so keep checking back.
