GOA- India’s largest carrier, IndiGo (6E), has announced its plans to launch new flight connections between MOPA, Goa (GOX), and Abu Dhabi (AUH), which will come into effect on September 2, according to airline officials.
The airline’s move comes in response to the growing demand for travel between Goa and the Middle East and the aim to bolster global connectivity.
IndiGo New Goa to Abu Dhabi Flights
IndiGo seeks to strengthen its presence in Abu Dhabi by offering triweekly flights. Further complementing its existing flights from major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, and Hyderabad.
This expansion will significantly improve accessibility and convenience for passengers traveling from the North and West Indian region to the cosmopolitan capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed excitement about the airline’s latest development.
He stated, “We are thrilled to announce new connections between North Goa (Mopa Airport) and Abu Dhabi. The substantial demand for travel to the Middle East from India has not gone unnoticed. Further, at IndiGo, we are proactively taking steps to meet this demand through these new connections.”
He further highlighted the significance of the new routes, stating that IndiGo will operate a total of 52 weekly flights to Abu Dhabi from eight cities in India.
This move will bring the UAE even closer to Indian travelers. As these new routes are included in the airline’s upcoming winter schedule, Malhotra expressed confidence that both destinations will experience a substantial boost in trade and tourism.
Hyderabad to Singapore Flights
Recently, IndiGo announced its plans to introduce daily direct flights between Hyderabad and Singapore comes as a response to the increasing need for seamless travel options between these two cities.
Subsequently, the airline aims to provide travelers with better connectivity and greater flexibility.
IndiGo’s decision to expand its flight offerings to 58 flights a week from 8 online points in India will benefit travelers and catalyze stronger business ties between India and Singapore.
The decision was officially disclosed through a statement issued on July 18. Further, the airline will likely deploy its state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo on this route.
