On Wednesday, Thiruvananthapuram airport announced that Vistara (UK) Airlines will start a new daily flight service to Mumbai from June 1. This will be Vistara’s first service in this sector, with ticket bookings already open for travelers.
The flight, UK 551, will depart from Mumbai at 9.40 a.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 12 p.m. Subsequently, the return flight, UK 552, will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 12.35 p.m. and reach Mumbai at 2.55 p.m.
Vistara Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai Flights
The service will be operated from the domestic terminal at Shanghumughom, and the aircraft will have 164 seats, consisting of business, premium economy, and economy classes.
This new service has been scheduled at a convenient time, allowing passengers to connect to various domestic points, as well as international destinations, including Europe, the U.S., and South East Asia.
This will be the fifth daily service in the Thiruvananthapuram Mumbai sector, with Air India (AI) and IndiGo currently operating two daily services each in this sector.
Furthermore, during summer, weekly air traffic movements (ATMs) will increase by 15% from the current 224 weekly flights to 258. Oman Air will begin a daily service to Muscat, while Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will commence with five additional weekly departures to Abu Dhabi.
Other Flights
Air India Express (IX) and Sri Lankan Airlines will also start two extra weekly departures to Dubai and Colombo, respectively. With one extra weekly departure each to Abu Dhabi and Muscat by Air India Express, Kuwait Airways to Kuwait, and Maldivian to Male, respectively.
Moreover, the ATMs will increase by 34%, from the current 245 weekly flights to 324 for the summer. Indigo will start a second daily service to Hyderabad. While Air India will add one more daily service to Mumbai from the current two daily services.
Furthermore, Indigo will initiate Patna and Nagpur services with a single stop in Bengaluru and Pune, respectively. Further Vistara will also begin a new daily service to Mumbai.
