MUMBAI- Tata-owned Indian FSC Air India (AI) has launched a brand new website interface today. This is the second major change to the official website after Tata’s takeover of the airline from the government of India.
The New website looks simplistic and has a really good User Interface. Furthermore, the Homepage of the website features a slider that shows what’s new and what offers are available for the customers.
Instead of AirIndia.in the airline will use AirIndia.com. This shows Air India’s commitment to becoming a leading global airline and not just for Domestic passengers. There are various sections on the website, and we will see them individually.
Air India Launches the New Website
The company has divided the Homepage into five main sections. This includes the landing page and first look where they have added the five stories scroll.
First Impression
The First scroll says “Welcome to the New Era” and has the Air India Cabin Crew wearing the Indian Saree and greetings with Namaste, Indian style, to say Hello. Subsequently, She is seen in the standard dress code for the airline’s female cabin crews.
The Second scroll shows the Carry More and Pay Less for your luggage. Here if you click, you will be redirected to the Prepay for Your Excess Baggage page. Further, the page includes all the terms and rates.
Furthermore, the third section scroll includes the Comfort by your side. Here you can choose your preferred seats and pay based on your flights. The redirected page also includes Rules for preferred seating on Air India flights and Eligibility criteria for emergency exit row seats.
While the fourth scroll is about the new destination, the airline will fly to. Recently, Air India announced the launch of New flights from Delhi Airport to Amsterdam. It became the only Indian carrier to provide nonstop service to these routes. The other airline is KLM.
Finally, the fifth scroll is all about the offers and new offerings by Air India. Further, the latest offer features the Premium Economy page. The airline wrote, “Introducing the all-new Premium Economy, featuring luxurious amenities and exclusive perks. Enjoy a wider range of meal options, including delectable desserts and an extensive selection of beverages, for an unforgettable experience you won’t want to miss.”
Other sections of the Website
The second section is about Discovering exclusive deals and premium services to enhance the travel experience with Air India. There are three sub-sections, one is about routes, the other about the flying returns program, and last but not least is about 24/7 customer service.
The Third section concerns preparing your travel with India’s only Full Service carrier. It shows, “During your journey, you can expect various services to assist you with your travel plans, from booking assistance to other support.”
The Fourth section is dedicated to non-stop flight offerings, mainly international direct flights to various destinations. Further, the airline mentioned, “Maximize your time at your destination with Air India’s nonstop network that connects India with top destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and beyond, allowing you to spend less time getting there and more time being there.”
Ultimately, we have four circles with the latest news, cargo info, FAQs, and Contact Us redirect links. Subsequently, in the footer section, which includes all the page’s links, a few names are About Us, Book and Manage, Air India Experience, Where we fly, loyalty program, and more.
Our Thoughts on Air India Airlines New Website
Overall I felt the website is really good. My favorite section is the Air India Experience, it gives you information about airport services, the in-flight offerings, and most importantly, the fleet.
Also, the dedicated codeshare flight and route pages with its partner airline are crucial for customers. The press release page also looks simple, but Instead of pdf, if they have added the news to the page, it would have been a great experience.
Last, the first impression is really top-notch. We will test the website and will let you know what changes they will need and what are some special and newly added features.
