Middle East carrier Emirates (EK) has once again clinched the “Best Airline Worldwide” award at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2023, marking their tenth consecutive win in this category.
The red-carpet event was attended by notable industry professionals and leaders hailing from different parts of the Middle East.
Emirates Success at Business Traveller Awards
Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Gulf, Middle East, and Central Asia, along with Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Skywards, accepted the awards on behalf of Emirates.

Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin class has garnered acclaim as the industry’s “gold standard” in less than two years since its introduction. Its roomy seats, ample pitch, lavish decor, and numerous thoughtful details have consistently impressed customers.
Emirates Refurbishments paid off
Emirates’ commitment to enhancing the onboard experience of its passengers is exemplified by its ongoing USD $2 billion retrofit program, which includes the refurbishment of 120 aircraft.
Seven aircraft have already undergone a complete refurbishment. Furthermore, another 17 are scheduled for completion by the end of this summer.
The fully renovated A380 boasts the airline’s latest products and interiors throughout all cabins. Subsequently, featuring 56 Premium Economy class seats on the main deck and updated color schemes for the carpeting and wall panels.
The upper deck’s First and Business Class seats boast Emirates’ latest cream-colored leather upholstery and lighter-toned wood finishing, akin to the airline’s ‘game changer product.
The airline’s signature ghaf tree motif is prominent throughout the cabins. Further, with hand-stenciled panels adorning the First Class Shower Spa.
First Class Experience
The Emirates First Class experience has always been known for its excellence and unmatched luxury in the aviation industry. With its latest culinary initiative, the airline has now taken its First Class offering to new heights.
Customers can enjoy unlimited servings of caviar paired with exclusive Dom Perignon vintage champagne as part of the airline’s ‘dine-on-demand service. Furthermore, EK has also put its own spin on classic theatre snacks, including lobster rolls, wagyu sliders, edamame, and salted popcorn.
On the ground, the Emirates First Class Lounge experience in Concourses A, B, and C provides guests with a haven of luxury and trademark experiences.
The lounge features complimentary express treatments at the Timeless Spa and extensive à la carte dining with show kitchens. Further, a health bar with curated smoothies and, fresh pressed juices, curated single-origin coffees. Subsequently, a Sommelier-led wine cellar offering grand cru wines and a dedicated premium cigar lounge.
