On Friday (April 22), an Air India Boeing 777 flight from Chicago to Delhi was hit by lightning while climbing from the origin at at 10,000 feet.
The flight, AI-126, arrived safely at its destination.
During an inspection at Delhi airport, the lightning strike on the aircraft (VT-ALM) was spotted.
“AI reported the lighting strike to the regulator on Saturday (April 23)“
This case is being investigated by the DGCA.
