Air India offered Ilker Ayci the CEO role, but he declined. Ayci was named CEO of Air India on February 14 by the Tatas, who recently acquired the company.
Turkish citizen IlkerAyci was born in Istanbul in 1971 and served as the CEO of Turkish Airlines from 2015 to the end of January 2022.”I am delighted and honoured to accept the privilege of leading an iconic airline and to join the Tata Group,” Ayci said after his appointment was announced.
He had previously served as Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan’s advisor in the 1990s.
