The order of 25 Airbus A350-1000<\/a> marks a foundational step in Riyadh Air\u2019s (RX) strategy to become a leading global carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backed by Saudi Arabia\u2019s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Riyadh Air aims to redefine premium international travel and strengthen Saudi Arabia\u2019s position as a global aviation hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement was signed during the 2025 Paris Air Show<\/a> by senior executives, including H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of PIF, Christian Scherer, CEO of Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, and Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their collective presence underscores the strategic weight of this partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Boukadida, CFO, Riyadh Air, emphasized the significance of the order, noting that the A350-1000\u2019s efficiency and long-range capabilities align perfectly with the airline\u2019s sustainability goals and premium service standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aligned with sustainability trends, the A350-1000 is already certified to fly with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)<\/a>. Further, Airbus is committed to making all its aircraft 100% SAF compatible by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Orders and Market Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As of May 2025, the Airbus A350<\/a> Family has recorded over 1,390 orders from more than 60 customers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of these, 657 aircraft are currently in service across various global carriers, operating on short, medium, and long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
