BRISTOL-<\/strong> Two easyJet (U2)<\/a> flights were forced to make emergency landings within two days, prompting safety responses at airports in Izmir (ADB)<\/strong> and Paris Orly (ORY)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first diversion occurred on a flight from Paphos (PFO)<\/strong> to Bristol (BRS)<\/strong> after a reported smoke-like smell onboard. The second flight, from Manchester (MAN)<\/strong> to Enfidha (NBE)<\/strong>, was unexpectedly diverted to Paris Orly (ORY)<\/strong> for undisclosed reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

easyJet Flights Emergency Landing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On June 14, 2025, easyJet flight EZY2902<\/strong>, operating an Airbus A320<\/strong>, departed from Paphos International Airport (PFO)<\/strong> en route to Bristol Airport (BRS)<\/strong>. While cruising at 36,000 feet over Turkey, the crew detected a smoke smell onboard, prompting a precautionary diversion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft made an emergency descent and landed safely at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB)<\/strong> approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes after departure. Passengers were calmly evacuated, and emergency services met the aircraft upon arrival as a standard safety procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is an Airbus A320-214, registered as G-EZGX. Further, it is a 6.9-year-old aircraft powered by two CFM-56 engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an official statement, easyJet confirmed the diversion was due to a \u201ctechnical issue\u201d that caused the odor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline arranged hotel accommodations and meals for the affected passengers. A replacement aircraft was scheduled to continue the journey to Bristol later that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Diversion: Manchester to Enfidha Flight<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Just one day later, on June 15, 2025, easyJet flight U22275<\/strong> from Manchester Airport (MAN)<\/strong> to Enfidha\u2013Hammamet International Airport (NBE)<\/strong> diverted mid-flight to Paris Orly Airport (ORY)<\/strong>. The 10.8-year-old Airbus A320 involved was registered as G-EZWY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details regarding the cause of the diversion remain undisclosed. easyJet has not issued a formal explanation, but no injuries or critical events were reported, and the aircraft landed safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
