The airport has begun attracting international interest.

As per coordination filings, the airport is slated to launch routes to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Dammam, and Muscat. These are the four key Middle Eastern destinations from India. This reflects the large diaspora and strong trade ties between India and the Gulf.

These routes are likely to become vital corridors for business and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) travel. Especially for residents of the Mumbai metropolitan region looking to avoid the congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Further north, Jewar Airport, officially known as Noida International Airport (DXN), is also part of India’s next-generation aviation infrastructure push. The airport, which is being developed to serve the National Capital Region (NCR), will open by the end of 2025.

Planned international services from Jewar include flights to Jeddah, Dammam, and Muscat. This signals a clear focus on connecting the NCR with important religious and economic hubs in the Gulf.

These routes are especially important for travelers from western Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas.
