SINGAPORE-<\/strong> World’s best carrier, Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> Group, will absorb retrenched Jetstar Asia (3K)<\/a> employees following the airline\u2019s closure. This includes the creation of 100 pilot and 200 cabin crew positions across SIA and its low-cost arm, Scoot (TR)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move comes after Jetstar Asia, based at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), announced on June 11 that it will cease operations on July 31, resulting in over 500 job losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines to Hire Jetstar Asia Staff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In response to Jetstar Asia’s imminent shutdown, the SIA Group promptly launched a support initiative to retain skilled aviation professionals within Singapore\u2019s aviation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a June 13 statement by an SIA<\/a> spokesperson, the company aims to provide continued career pathways for affected personnel by integrating them into roles within the group\u2019s airlines, particularly SIA and Scoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
