MIAMI-<\/strong> American Airlines (AA)<\/a> officially launched service from Miami International Airport (MIA)<\/a> to Rome’s Fiumicino Airport (FCO)<\/a> on June 5, 2025, establishing the carrier’s fifth European destination from Miami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline coordinated with Miami-Dade County officials <\/strong>to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the departure gate, featuring Italian cuisine and traditional entertainment for passengers aboard the inaugural flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Miami to Rome Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Rome route launch coincides with American Airlines’ largest summer schedule in Miami International Airport (MIA) history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier plans to operate more than 37,200 flights<\/strong> from Miami between May 16 and September 2<\/strong>, representing a significant expansion of the airline’s Miami operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Miami schedule forms part of American’s systemwide summer operation of over 715,000 <\/strong>flights, averaging five flights per minute across the airline’s entire network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
