Qantas New Routes from Perth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

QantasLink (QF) will launch Australia’s first direct Perth-Newcastle service on September 8<\/strong>, 2025, operating 3 flights weekly on Monday, Friday, and Sunday schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route establishes QantasLink (QF) as the sole carrier<\/strong> offering non-stop connectivity between these cities, targeting FIFO workers and mining sector customers requiring efficient Western Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service will generate over 45,000 annual seat capacity between Perth (PER) and Newcastle (NCL), addressing demand from resource sector workers and business travellers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hobart Returns After Two Years<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

QantasLink (QF) will restore Perth-Hobart direct flights on September 26, 2025<\/strong>, marking the route’s return since its discontinuation in 2023. The service operates three weekly flights throughout most months, suspending operations only during the May, June, and August periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reinstated route adds 32,000 annual seats to the Perth-Hobart corridor, supporting tourism flows between Western Australia and Tasmania<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate Holsgrove, Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer, highlighted collaborative efforts with Qantas (QF)<\/a>, destination airports, and tourism bodies to develop these aviation connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aircraft Service Features<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Both routes will utilise QantasLink’s Airbus A319<\/a> aircraft, currently deployed for intrastate Western Australia services supporting the resources sector. The 150-seat economy configuration includes complimentary meals and checked baggage allowances, while passengers access Qantas Entertainment systems<\/strong> through personal devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft features established entertainment platforms enabling movie and television streaming, though in-flight WiFi services remain unavailable on these specific aircraft types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new routes strengthen Perth’s position as QantasLink’s western hub, offering passengers one-stop connections to international destinations including London, Paris, <\/strong>and seasonal Rome services.<\/strong> This connectivity expansion supports both inbound tourism to Western Australia and outbound travel options for regional passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booking Availability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

QantasLink (QF) launched both routes with economy fares starting at $299 one-way for Perth-Newcastle<\/strong> and Perth-Hobart<\/strong> segments. The promotional pricing remains available through 11:59 PM AEST on June 2, 2025, subject to seat availability and selected travel dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
