According to PYOK<\/a>, the accused student manipulated the system by generating counterfeit boarding passes using photo editing tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over a period of 9 months, he submitted more than 2,600 forged documents through the government portal, nearly 900 of them in October 2024 alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Records suggest that on some days, the student claimed to be on three flights within 24 hours. Authorities reported that out of all the documents submitted, only three were authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before officials detected the fraud, the government had already wired him \u20ac86,000 in refunds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the discovery, Italy\u2019s financial police intervened, charging the student with misappropriation of public funds and money laundering. Most of the funds have since been recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
