The inaugural flight took place on May 17, 2025, introducing four weekly seasonal services operated by the American carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new route by United Airlines (UA) is part of its largest international expansion to date. Other new destinations served directly from the New York\/Newark hub include Bilbao (BIO), Palermo (PMO), Nuuk (GOH), and Funchal (FNC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, United has introduced new routes from its Washington D.C.\/Dulles (IAD) hub, such as the carrier\u2019s first-ever year-round service to Dakar (DSS), and seasonal flights to Nice (NCE) and Venice (VCE), along with a new seasonal service between Rome (FCO) and Denver (DEN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to United, this expansion underscores the airline&#8217;s position as the largest global carrier based on available seat miles, serving more international destinations than any other U.S. airline. In summer 2025, United is set to offer 800 daily international flights across 140 destinations, including 32 routes not served by any other U.S. airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
