AMSTERDAM- <\/strong>In an exciting move for winter travelers, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL)<\/a> has officially announced the return of Bridgetown in Barbados<\/strong>. The flights will return to their intercontinental network after about 2 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting October 26, 2025<\/strong>, KLM will operate three weekly flights<\/strong> from Amsterdam Schiphol to the Caribbean gem of Barbados. The flights will be continuing through March 26, 2026. <\/strong>The flights will continue onwards to Georgetown, Guyana<\/strong>. KLM will operate a modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/a> to fly the new routes, offering a comfortable and efficient travel experience across all classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This reintroduction marks a comeback for Bridgetown, which had previously seen service from KLM during the winter seasons of 2021 <\/strong>and 2022<\/strong>. During that period, KLM operated the flights using the Airbus A330 as part of its winter expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in 2023, Barbados<\/a> was removed from the airline\u2019s schedule amid network restructuring due to the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. That suspension, although a setback, never seemed to be a permanent cut, and now, the Caribbean Island is back on the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KLM Re-Enters Caribbean Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Barbados is considered one of the most underserved Caribbean destinations<\/strong> from the Netherlands, making it a prime choice for KLM\u2019s winter offerings. As Dutch travelers seek sunny escapes from the long European winter, Barbados provides the perfect mix of turquoise waters, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Known for its white-sand beaches, historic colonial towns, and lively festivals, Bridgetown offers something for every type of traveler \u2014 from luxury seekers to backpacking adventurers. With the resumption of this route, KLM is not only catering to leisure demand but also targeting business and diaspora traffic<\/strong>, particularly with the flight\u2019s onward leg to Georgetown, Guyana<\/strong>, a growing economic hub in northern South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Schedule<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The newly announced flights to Bridgetown and Georgetown will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, <\/strong>and Sundays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight KL783 will leave Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)<\/strong> at 09:35 AM<\/strong>. The flight will arrive in Bridgetown (BGI)<\/strong> at 13:35 <\/strong>local time. There will be a short layover of about 1 hour and 30 minutes in Bridgetown before heading to Georgetown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a brief stop, the flight will continue to Georgetown (GEO)<\/strong>. The flight KL783 will leave Bridgetown at 15:05<\/strong>. The flight will land in Georgetown at 16:40<\/strong>. The aircraft will have a layover of 1 hour and 20 minutes at Georgetown before heading to Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last leg of this triangular routing, KL783, leaves Georgetown at 18:00<\/strong>. The flight will arrive back in Amsterdam at 08:00<\/strong> the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KLM will deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/strong> on the route. It is a state-of-the-art aircraft known for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. The aircraft will feature 30 seats in World Business Class<\/strong>, 21 in Premium Comfort Class<\/strong>, and 224 in Economy Class<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline intends to cater to a broad spectrum of travelers. The Boeing 787-9 has spacious cabins, mood lighting, improved air quality, and quieter engines. These features will make the flight experience both relaxing and enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
