New greenfield airports are under development in <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/jewar-airport\/\">Jewar (Noida) (DXN)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/navi-mumbai-airport\/\">Navi Mumbai (NMI)<\/a>, <strong>Bhogapuram (VIZ)<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/parandur-airport\/\">Parandur (Chennai)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously, existing airports in <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/bangalore-airport\/\">Bangalore (BLR)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/hyderabad-airport\/\">Hyderabad (HYD),<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/cochin-airport\/\">Cochin (COK),<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/mumbai-airport\/\">Mumbai (BOM)<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/nagpur-airport\/\">Nagpur (NAG)<\/a> will undergo significant brownfield expansions. The <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/airports-authority-of-india\/\">Airports Authority of India (AAI)<\/a> will also upgrade numerous airports under its management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;Given the capacity bottleneck faced by a few airports, the sector will continue to witness substantial capex. Investments of more than Rs. 1,00,000 crore are expected over the next 4-5 years, including greenfield airports.&#8221;<\/p><cite>ICRA Reports<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Passenger traffic through Indian airports will continue its strong upward trajectory. The report projects an<strong> 18-20 percent<\/strong> year-on-year increase in <strong>FY2026<\/strong>, demonstrating the sector&#8217;s expanding financial strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the massive capital expenditure planned, the sector&#8217;s financial position remains robust.
