HAMBURG-<\/strong> Air India (AI)<\/a>, the Tata Group-owned FSC, has signed an agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to equip 34 new widebody aircraft with Astrova, its advanced in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upgraded aircraft, including Airbus A350-900<\/a>, A350-1000, and Boeing 787-9<\/a> models, will enhance passenger experience on both domestic and international routes departing from major hubs like Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panasonic Avionics will also provide long-term support through Panasonic Technical Services, ensuring peak performance of the new IFEC systems throughout Air India\u2019s global network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic partnership underscores Air India\u2019s commitment to premium service enhancements as it continues to modernize its fleet and customer offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India is set to revolutionize passenger comfort by integrating Panasonic Avionics\u2019 Astrova across its new widebody fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system will be installed on 6 Airbus A350-1000s, 14 A350-900s, and 14 Boeing 787-9s, ensuring a seamless and immersive travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Astrova<\/strong> boasts 4K OLED HDR10+ displays<\/strong>, delivering superior color accuracy and infinite contrast ratios. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers will enjoy Spatial Audio<\/strong>, compatible with both wired and wireless headphones via Bluetooth\u00ae<\/strong>, alongside 67W USB-C charging ports<\/strong> for uninterrupted device power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IFE system also includes adaptive LED cabin lighting, designed to enhance ambiance and reduce fatigue during long-haul flights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure continuous performance and reliability of the IFE systems, Air India has appointed Panasonic Technical Services (PTS) to maintain the onboard equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PTS will support the airline\u2019s expanding fleet of IFE-equipped aircraft, enabling consistent delivery of superior digital services throughout their lifecycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India<\/strong>, the collaboration with Panasonic Avionics represents a commitment to improving passenger experience and driving innovation in inflight offerings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
