DETROIT-<\/strong> Avelo Airlines (XP) launched its inaugural flight from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN), marking the first of three new routes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline also announced nonstop service from DTW to Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina, expanding travel options for Michigan residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new route connects Detroit travelers to Southern Connecticut with low fares starting at $39, operated by Boeing 737 aircraft on Mondays and Fridays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A festive sendoff at DTW celebrated this milestone, alongside a partnership with Michigan Flyer offering free motorcoach transport to the airport until June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo Airlines (XP) introduced its Detroit-to-New Haven route on April 04, 2025, enhancing travel between Michigan and Connecticut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exclusive nonstop flights depart from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and arrive at Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN), Southern Connecticut\u2019s most accessible hub. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo\u2019s Founder and CEO, Andrew Levy, emphasized the route\u2019s affordability and convenience, targeting both leisure and business travelers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upcoming routes to Wilmington and Charlotte, set for June 2025, will further broaden Avelo\u2019s footprint from DTW. Avelo will leverage its Boeing Next Generation 737 fleet for reliable service. Booking is available with one-way fares as low as $39, excluding additional fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo\u2019s collaboration with Michigan Flyer enhances accessibility for mid-Michigan travelers. The partnership provides complimentary deluxe motorcoach service from East Lansing, Brighton, and Ann Arbor to DTW for Avelo customers using the promo code FLYAVELO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
