MONTREAL-<\/strong> Canadian flag carrier Air Canada (AC)<\/a> has announced significant expansions to its European summer 2025 schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline is adding a new non-stop service between Montreal (YUL) and Edinburgh (EDI), while increasing capacity to Paris (CDG), Athens (ATH), and Rome (FCO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada European Routes Boosts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada (AC) is boosting its European network with nearly 1,300 additional weekly seats<\/strong> to Paris and Athens, and extending its peak Toronto (YYZ)<\/a> to Rome schedule through October 2025. These enhancements reflect anticipated strong demand for transatlantic travel in the upcoming summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning & President of Cargo, expressed enthusiasm about the new Edinburgh route: “Air Canada is excited to add the only non-stop flights between Montreal and Edinburgh! Our new flights will link Scotland to Canada’s second largest metropolitan area, bringing additional travel choices to the legendary land of castles, lochs, and more through our extensive network at our Montreal hub.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of Air Canada’s Montreal route marks another enhancement to Edinburgh Airport’s North American network, bringing the total to eleven destinations available to travelers this summer. This expansion provides greater choice for passengers at Scotland’s busiest airport, which is now part of the VINCI Airports network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport, highlighted the significance of this development: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a fantastic addition to our North America connectivity, and we are delighted that Air Canada is adding more options from Scotland’s busiest airport. Dewar further noted that this addition represents “a big vote of confidence from Air Canada in Edinburgh’s market,” expressing enthusiasm about welcoming the new route later this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Montreal-Edinburgh service will operate three times weekly from June 26 to September 7, 2025, using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft<\/a> configured with Premium Economy and Economy cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
