BENGALURU- <\/strong>India’s largest carrier, IndiGo Airlines (6E)<\/a>, is set to make a significant leap in its international expansion strategy with the introduction of the Airbus A321XLR<\/a>. Alongside, the airline has ambitious plans to add 14 new international destinations in the financial year 2025-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo is also aiming for early double-digit passenger traffic growth. With these developments, IndiGo is positioning itself as a stronger player in the long-haul low-cost segment. IndiGo aims at leveraging its growing fleet and expanding its network to capture a larger share of the international market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo A321XLR Configuration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The much-anticipated Airbus A321XLR, the extra-long-range variant of the A321neo, will introduce a new level of capability for IndiGo. IndiGo has finally unveiled as to what configuration its A321XLRs will be rolling out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo A321XLRs will feature a two-class configuration<\/strong>, which is different from IndiGo\u2019s traditional all-economy layout. The A321XLR will be equipped with 12 business-class seats<\/strong> along with 183 economy seats.<\/strong> IndiGo A321 XLRs will be equipped with 195 seats onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move marks IndiGo\u2019s first foray into offering a premium cabin in the international market. However the airline has already started offering business-class seats on its Delhi \u2013 Bangkok route. However, those are the leased aircraft from Norse Atlantic Airways (N0)<\/a>. A321XLRs will mark IndiGo\u2019s Stretch business-class international debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This move aligns with the airline\u2019s strategy to cater to both budget-conscious travelers and those seeking a more comfortable experience on long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
