NEW YORK-<\/strong> Arajet (DM), the Dominican Republic’s flagship airline, announced today the expansion of its United States presence through new flights connecting New York Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)<\/a> to Las Am\u00e9ricas Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline began ticket sales with fares starting at $262 roundtrip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arajet New York Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Operations for this new route will commence on June 16, establishing a critical link between the Dominican Republic and the New York metropolitan area, which hosts the largest Dominican diaspora community in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, stated, “Arajet is committed to making air travel accessible and affordable for the Dominican community and American tourists alike, and New York is a key market to strengthen our U.S. presence.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the Newark service will complement existing routes between the Dominican Republic, Miami, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, positioning Arajet as a preferred carrier for U.S. travelers planning vacations or visiting friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline aims to attract travelers with its combination of convenience, affordability, and exceptional service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third US Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arajet unveiled its new flight service at the Gregorio Luper\u00f3n school in Washington Heights, a neighborhood with a significant Dominican population. The announcement featured New York congressman Adriano Espaillat, who is of Dominican origin, alongside Dominican consuls Jes\u00fas V\u00e1zquez and Jos\u00e9 Santana from New York and New Jersey respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelers arriving in Santo Domingo can choose to explore the Dominican Republic or connect to any of Arajet’s 24 destinations. Newark Liberty International Airport offers strategic advantages as an entry point to the New York region due to its central location, robust public transportation connections, and proximity to Manhattan. The inaugural flights will take off on June 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline offers customizable fare options allowing passengers to enhance their travel experience with additional services including extra legroom, checked baggage, and priority boarding. Customers can now secure affordable flights with one-way fares starting at $127 from Newark to Santo Domingo and $135 for the return journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2022, Arajet serves as the Dominican Republic’s flagship carrier. The airline operates from two bases at Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana International Airport, utilizing a fleet of new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
