WACO-<\/strong> A United Airlines (UA)<\/a> flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Waco, Texas, after encountering severe turbulence that left five passengers injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred on Sunday evening (March 2, 2025), prompting an immediate response from medical and emergency personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Airlines Emergency Landing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SkyWest (OO)<\/a> Flight 5690, operating as United Express, was en route from Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) in Missouri to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)<\/a> in Houston when it hit turbulence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft, a Bombardier CRJ-200, diverted to Waco Regional Airport, where medical teams attended to the injured passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The turbulence forced the aircraft to make an unscheduled landing in Waco. Upon arrival, emergency responders, including five units from the Waco Fire Department, assessed passengers for injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to SkyWest Airlines (OO), five individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for further evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the turbulence, all 29 passengers and three crew members remained safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SkyWest (OO) and United Airlines (UA) arranged for another aircraft to transport the remaining passengers to Houston (IAH), with the replacement flight departing Waco at 1:17 a.m. CT on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
