IndiGo Leases Three Boeing 787<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo (6E), India’s largest airline by fleet size and passengers carried, has taken another step toward international expansion by leasing<\/a> three additional Boeing 787 aircraft from Norse Atlantic ASA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement follows an initial lease deal signed in February, bringing the total number of aircraft leased to IndiGo from Norse to four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three new aircraft are expected to begin operations in the second half of 2025, serving long-haul routes from India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement has an initial six-month term, extendable to 18 months, pending regulatory approvals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norse Atlantic\u2019s ACMI Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Norse Atlantic ASA continues to refine its dual ACMI and scheduled network strategy. The airline reported a 92% load factor in Q4 2024, the highest in its history, alongside a 46% increase in passengers carried. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue for the quarter reached $123.1 million<\/strong>, marking a 30% year-over-year growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By entering firm ACMI lease contracts with IndiGo, Norse is diversifying revenue streams while maintaining a fleet of 11 aircraft for its scheduled network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
