HYDERABAD-<\/strong> A Blue Dart cargo aircraft successfully executed an emergency landing at Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport (HYD) <\/a>after experiencing critical landing gear malfunctions during its approach from Chennai (MAA) on February 18, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight crew detected the landing gear issues while preparing for touchdown and immediately alerted airport authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pilot’s prompt communication triggered an emergency <\/a>response protocol, leading airport officials to suspend all international flight operations to secure a clear runway for the distressed aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pilot’s skillful handling of the compromised aircraft resulted in a successful emergency landing, safeguarding the lives of all six crew members aboard the cargo flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airport emergency response teams confirmed that no injuries occurred during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpiceJet (SG)<\/a> flight SG3445 <\/strong>executed an emergency landing at Bagdogra Airport on February 6 after detecting wing-related issues thirty minutes into its Guwahati-Patna journey. The aircraft touched down safely at 11:52 am, forcing the cancellation of its onward journey to Patna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The disruption left passengers stranded for over three hours at Patna Airport’s security hold area, where they awaited clarification from airline representatives regarding the canceled Patna-Guwahati service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate incident on February 7, an Oman Air flight from Muscat to Kuala Lumpur diverted to Chennai Airport following a medical emergency. Khalija Abubacker, a 42-year-old Malaysian pilgrim returning from Medina, experienced severe chest pain two hours into the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite immediate attention from the onboard medical team and the flight’s emergency landing at 2 pm, medical personnel at Chennai Airport declared Abubacker deceased. Authorities transferred her body to Chromepet Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oman Air flight resumed its journey to Kuala Lumpur at 4:30 pm after completing the necessary procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
