LONDON-<\/strong> The Pakistani flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PK) or PIA <\/a>has submitted a formal slot swap request to Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) for its London Heathrow Airport (LHR) operations during the Summer 2025 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrangement involves leasing slots to Saudi Airlines (SV) between April 5 and October 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan Airlines London Slots Swaps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The proposed swap affects PK’s existing arrival slot at 1335 hours and departure slot at 1600 hours, operated by a 393-seat Boeing 777 aircraft serving the Lahore and Karachi routes. These slots will transfer to Saudia’s operations utilizing a 289-seat Boeing 789 aircraft for their Riyadh service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the new arrangement, Saudia <\/a>will operate arrival flight SV108 at 2300 hours and departure flight SV109 at 2305 hours. The swap maintains operations at Terminal 4 for both carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement specifies a six-day operational pattern throughout the specified period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move comes after Vietnam Airlines (VN) plans to return two slots back to Pakistan International Airlines from April 5, 2025. These two slots will be leased by PIA to Saudia for the Summer 2025 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vietnam Airlines currently operates flights VN051 and VN050 between London Heathrow and Saigon using a 274-seat Boeing 789 aircraft. The slot timings include a 1335 arrival and 1600 departure from Terminal 4, operating six days per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudia Strengthening Dubai Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Azerbaijan Airlines (J2) and Saudi Airlines (SV) have submitted a slot swap request to Airport Coordination Limited for their Dubai International Airport (DXB) <\/a>operations. The arrangement covers the period from March 30 to October 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Azerbaijan Airlines will transfer its evening slots, with arrival flight J2015 at 2110 hours and departure J2016 at 2225 hours. In exchange, Saudi Airlines will provide slots for arrival flight SV584 at 2205 hours and departure SV585 at 2305 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both carriers employ Airbus A320 aircraft configured with 156 seats on their respective routes. Azerbaijan Airlines operates services to Goyoura, while Saudi Airlines maintains connections to Riyadh. The arrangement maintains business-class service standards across both operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The swap encompasses daily operations, operating seven days per week throughout the specified period. This adjustment affects approximately 210 flight pairs during the Summer 2025 season, marking a significant operational change at Dubai International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
