ABU DHABI-<\/strong> The flag carrier of UAE, Etihad Airways (EY)<\/a> announced a significant expansion of its Atlanta service, transforming its initial four-times-weekly flights into daily operations starting November 1, 2024, following strong demand for the route launching July 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new daily service establishes the first and only direct connection between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Atlanta, operating from Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Etihad Atlanta Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The route utilizes Etihad’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000<\/a>, configured with 44 Business class and 327 Economy class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jurriaan Stelder, Senior Vice President of Network and Alliances at Etihad Airways, highlighted the overwhelming response since the route’s announcement in November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enhanced frequency will strengthen connectivity between Atlanta and key South Asian destinations, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Karachi, through single-stop connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service expansion creates additional opportunities for travelers to explore Abu Dhabi through stopover visits or extended stays. Passengers can secure Economy class fares starting at AED 1,925, while Business class fares begin at AED 10,010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Etihad Airways’ expansion into Atlanta <\/a>marks a strategic enhancement of its United States network, capitalizing on Georgia’s capital city as a powerhouse for business, technology, and transportation sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The metropolitan hub combines traditional Southern hospitality with modern amenities, encompassing professional sports venues, craft brewery establishments, diverse dining options, and entertainment facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia extends beyond its capital to showcase historic small towns and diverse landscapes, offering travelers comprehensive exploration opportunities across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United States Customs and Border Protection Preclearance facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport provides Etihad passengers with streamlined entry processing before departure, enabling them to arrive in Atlanta as domestic travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Preclearance advantage eliminates arrival processing delays, allowing passengers to collect baggage immediately or proceed directly to connecting flights upon landing. This service enhancement positions Atlanta within Etihad’s broader network expansion strategy, which encompasses 13 additional global destinations launched this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
