SINGAPORE –<\/strong> Etihad Airways (EY)<\/a> marked a historic moment on February 2, 2025, as its Airbus A380 touched down at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) for the first time. This milestone strengthens connectivity between the UAE and Singapore, a key destination in Etihad\u2019s global network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight, EY498, departed Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) on February 1 at 22:31 and landed in Singapore after a 6-hour, 57-minute journey. The return flight departed from Singapore Changi at 19:44 the following day, arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 22:33. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the launch flight was operated by an A380-800 with registration A6-API. This aircraft has been primarily serving London, New York, and Paris and will now operate daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Singapore. Previously operated with a Boeing 777-300ER or a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, the route now benefits from the A380\u2019s increased capacity and premium services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
