The incident unfolded at Gate N9 after the flight completed its journey from Milwaukee.

Port of Seattle emergency response teams mobilized at 5:02 PM when the passenger accessed the wing during standard deplaning procedures. Fire personnel and crisis intervention specialists guided the individual from the wing to the terminal ramp. Medical professionals subsequently transported the passenger to a hospital for evaluation.

The Boeing 737-900 aircraft, registered as N282AK and in service for 7.1 years, maintained its structural integrity throughout the incident. No injuries occurred during the unauthorized exit, and airport operations continued without interruption.

Alaska Airlines has launched an investigation into the incident, collaborating with their crew and airport officials to understand the circumstances. The airline commended their staff’s swift response while extending apologies to passengers affected by the disruption.

The Port of Seattle confirmed the incident’s successful resolution with minimal impact on broader airport operations, validating eyewitness accounts of the emergency response at Gate N9. The airport’s standard security and safety protocols effectively managed the situation, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.

Stay tuned with us.
