BENGALURU-<\/strong> In an unexpected turn of events, an Emirates Airline (EK) <\/a>A380 aircraft operating flight EK342 <\/strong>from Dubai Airport (DXB) diverted to Bengaluru\u2019s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) on January 24, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft, registered as A6-EOU<\/strong>, was on its way to its destination Kuala Lumpur (KUL) when a medical emergency onboard prompted the flight crew to declare an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved is Airbus A380-800 aircraft, which is the world\u2019s largest passenger aircraft. The aircraft departed Dubai International Airport<\/a> at 11:27 AM GST. The flight departed with a delay of 47 minutes from its scheduled departure of 10:40 AM GST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 3 hours and 25 minutes into its journey, the aircraft made a sudden right turn. The flight was over the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Pilots initiated descent toward Bengaluru.

The aircraft safely landed at Bengaluru Airport at 4:22 PM IST. The aircraft landed after about 25 minutes after the decision to divert was made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
